
We have posted the first beta of You Control 1.7. This release improves compatibility of the Calendar module with Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) and brings Microsoft Word 2008 compatibility to the Fonts module (when You Control: Fonts is installed). It also includes several additional enhancements and bug fixes in several other modules.

Fixes in this build
Calendar
- On Leopard, Calendar module now supports calendars subscribed to from iCal Server and other CalDAV servers
- On Leopard, improved interactions with To Dos created in Mail
- Calendars now load more quickly
News Reader
- Fixed some issues with parsing some feeds
- Headlines for articles are now truncated so the menus do not become very wide
- Fixed a bug that could cause headlines to be displayed incorrectly in the ticker
- Cleaned up display of descriptions in the menu
- Added new feeds to the list of preset options
Weather
- Changed the forecast to only report the last five days, as that is all that is now available from weather.com’s data feed. We are evaluating other options to provide better forecasts in a future release.
Tunes
- Fixed controller sets that were not displaying correctly
- Fixed a selection problem when changing the controller set in the configuration window
Fonts
- Added support for Microsoft Word 2008 support to Fonts. (Note that the Fonts module requires that you have You Control: Fonts installed)
General
- Added an option for checking for beta updates on auto-update. This allows you to get the latest beta releases if you want.
- Fixed a bug that would prevent some users from being able to auto-update successfully.
- Assorted minor bug fixes
