The first beta release of You Control: Desktops 1.3 is available. There are a wide variety of changes in this release including bug fixes and user-requested enhancements.
If you are interested, please download the beta software from the beta website. If you are having problems with the release or would like to request enhancements to the application, please do so via our beta email account.
Here’s what’s new in this release:

• Desktops
• Mouse edge-switching behavior now ignores corners so they can be used for corner activation (such as for screensavers and Expose).
• Mouse edge-switching behavior now moves the mouse to the center of the main screen after switching.
• Desktop hot keys can now be set and seen from the Palette View
• The active desktop icon is now highlighted in the menu bar.
• General
• Fixed a bug that could cause the application to unexpectedly quit during demo mode.
• Cleaned up configuration application interface
• Added preferences pane with options for additional menu items and option to control launching on startup
• Removed extraneous “Menus…” menu item
• Menu Bar Right positioning should work correctly again
• Other minor bug fixes

Here’s what’s new in this release:

• iTunes:
• Revised iTunes monitoring for better information
• Better information now provided for non-local tracks (i.e. tracks from iPods, streamed Internet radio stations, or tracks shared from another computer)
• Streamed stations now display the overlay for each new track (assuming the station provides the information)
• Improved handling on non-Latin characters
• Now properly finds libraries located in custom locations
• Playing a track from a playlist will now play the track from within the playlist
• Added Disc Number to the track information displayed
• Added hidden preference for turning off library parsing (can be helpful for very large libraries)
• General:
